The Sedgwick Town Board met in regular session January 9, 2017 at the Town Hall, a quorum was verified and the meeting was called to order at 6:00pm by Mayor Alan Otsuka.

Maintenance
Richard was unable to attend. He did want the board to know the windsock at the pump house needs replaced. Patrick will order one.
​
Patrick is trying to get the sewer line fixed and a bid to repair the stand pipe on the water tower.
A $9,500.00 bid from Spelts Roofing was received for repairing the roof on the town hall.
Gena moved to accept the $9,500.00 bid to repair the Town Hall roof. Peggy R. seconded the motion. Voice vote; motioned carried.

Patrick is still trying to contact contractors for bids for the renovation of the park.
Minutes
One spelling correction was made to the December 12, 2016 minutes. Jeanie moved to approve the minutes as corrected from the December 12, 2016 meeting. Peggy O. seconded the motion. Voice vote; motioned carried.
Jeanie moved to approve the minutes from the December 19, 2016. Carole seconded the motion. Voice vote; motioned carried.

Financial/Pay Bills
Peggy R. moved to pay the bills. Peggy O seconded the motion. Roll call vote; motioned carried.

New Business
The Board discussed the hiring of a part-time Town Manager. The board would like advice from the town’s attorney and tabled the discussion. (Trustee Troy Kinoshita joined the meeting during discussion)
Jeanie moved to hire Lauer, Szabo and associates for the 2016 Audit. Peggy O. seconded the motion. Voice vote; motioned carried.
Alan had two quotes from John Deere, a $9,300.00 for a gator and $4,000.00 for a mower. The quotes were over 30 days old, so Alan will see if the cost has changed and the board will do a consensus vote.
Gena moved to adjourn the meeting. Jeanie seconded the motion. Voice vote; motioned carried.
